Overload

For those that don’t know what it takes to mine Carinate from the depths of Daymar, let me tell you, there are steps. One must brave the PVP ridden PAF Harthor sites, while fighting worms and man alike to score blue keys, to access red keys, to access three blades, that aligning three dishes, all at three different locations. You also have to access three garages to pull three batteries (each the size of a small car), again at three different locations, to load them onto a ship and fly them up to an orbital laser platform to power a giant laser. You need to insert these massive unwieldy batteries, while under fire, into exposed terminals before fighting scores of NPCs, for a laser activation card that then has to be taken back down planet side to be inserted into the laser activation controls to fire the laser. There done. Wait, not quite. You then have to take a mining mech (that you had to bring along) down into the now exposed cavern, blown open by the orbital laser platform, to begin mining the Carinate. Did I mention that the whole time you are doing all this there are scores of sweaty little players desperately trying to kill you and your team, from ships and ground alike, for no other reason than to mine salt themselves? But we did it. Down in the hole. With amateur miner TurqKnight at the helm of his Geo, ready to blast some rock, exposing that sweet sweet Carinate. And blast he did, instantly overloading the ore killing everyone in the cavern… TWICE!
